That time of year is coming up, New York: it’s Shark Week! The Discovery Channel’s annual week of TV programming starts on Sunday, July 24, and continues through Saturday, July 31! The aquarium has a collection of sandbar, sand tiger, Pacific black tip, nurse, silky, whitespotted bamboo, brownbanded bamboo and epaulette sharks.Īdults can add to their children’s (or their own) fun by purchasing a Shark Activity Kit, complete with an activity sheet, Adventure Aquarium pencil and a shark-shaped pencil gripper. The Scuba Tooth Fairy will appear daily at 11:45 am, 12:45 pm and 2:45 pm. The highlight, the new Scuba Tooth Fairy, will use their special skills to find and scoop up fallen shark teeth hidden in the sand of the Ocean Realm exhibit, which is home to an endangered great hammerhead shark.
